On the basis of the above statements and after consideration of the fundamental studies of Case A and B, Case A is preferable. Particular mention should be made of the accumulator system and the constancy of the travel for the primary force generator. The level-balancing cams are identical. Case A operates in a clearly defined manner while, in Case B, locking can occur if the spring system does not operate in a completely balanced manner. For this reason, protection is here primarily sought for Case A of the overall arrangement. A novel type of pressure-plate clutch and alternative systems for brakes etc. with wear compensation are thus obtained. The main application P 4231507.7 primarily describes the toggle cam and the underlying principle, while, here, a new wear adjustment system is disclosed, with particular reference to Case A of the description. The principle described in Case A provides a new combination of fully automatic wear adjustment for which a patent is applied for here. This principle can be employed in an appropriate manner in various areas of application and is not limited to clutches and brakes in actual applications. A combination of Case A and the main application P 4231507.7 is possible and its use worthwhile.
