With the aid of the developed apparatus, it is intended to carry out photometric multicomponent analysis with a limited number of fixed wavelengths, in such a way that, in addition to the usual measurement at the different wavelengths, it is also possible in a measurement process to include the various kinetics of complex formation or dissociation in the determination. This leads to an improvement in quantifying of the species under examination. An essential feature of the measuring cell put forward is the integrated and compact design, since all measurement channels (2) are located within one unit. This produces a compact and miniaturisable device which is not comparable to any hitherto existing concept. Furthermore, the glass-fibre plug connections (6, 7) allow access to all channels in an arbitrary sequence, and it is thereby possible to insert an arbitrary number of light conductors (10) at the desired points in the measuring cell (5). The special design of the measuring cell makes it possible to determine even complexes with very close absorption maxima. IMAGE
