A herbicidal composition comprising, as active ingredients, 2', 3'- dichloro-4-ethoxymethoxybenzanilide (compound 1) and one member selected from the group consisting of 2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6- isopropylamino-1,3,5- triazine (compound 2, atrazine), 2-(4-chloro-6- ethylamino-1,3,5-triazin-2- yl)amino-2-methylpropiononitrile compound 3, cyanazine), 4-hydroxy-3,5- diiodobenzonitrile (compound 4, ioxynil), 4- octanoyloxy-3,5- dibromobenzonitrile (compound 5, bromoxynil), 2-(2- chloro-4-mesylbenzoyl) cyclohexane-1,3-dione (compound 6) and 4-amino-6- tert-butyl-3-methylthio- 1,2,4-triazine-5(4H)-one (compound 7, metribuzin) .
