Earth stabilizing material, pavement base material and pavement method

PURPOSE: To obtain a soil stabilizer which is useful in paving subbase course material because it sustains self-healable strain and increases the strength of the subgrade course by adding lime to an Al-Fe-Ti based oxide composition. ;CONSTITUTION: Lime is admixed to an Al-Fe-Ti based composition mainly containing aluminum oxide, iron oxide and titanium oxide or a mixture of aluminum oxide, iron oxide and titanium oxide to provide the stabilizer. The ratio of the oxide composition to the lime is preferably (30-70)/(70-30), and the paving subbase course material is prepared by mixing the stabilizer with natural soil or a mixture thereof with macadam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
