PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for measuring the coefficient of viscosity while enhancing the reliability of data by piercing an object in a container with a needle, reciprocating the needle at a constant speed in the longitudinal direction and then measuring the load being applied to the container. ;CONSTITUTION: A sample (object) 2 in a container 1 placed on an electronic balance 4 is pierced up to a predetermined depth with a detection needle 3 while being heated in an electric furnace 5.
