POLE CLIMBING CARRIAGE AND ROAD LAMP CLEANING DEVICE HAVING POLE CLIMBING CARRIAGE

PURPOSE: To enable self-traveling while changing the direction along a pole by constituting a pole climbing carriage to be suitably used in a road lamp cleaning device so that a tiltable tilting arm is arranged on a base unit having vertically traveling rollers and a pressing steering roller is journalled to this. ;CONSTITUTION: When a road lamp is cleaned, first of all, a clamp cylinder 19 is elongated, and a tilting arm 14 is tilted, and a pole 3 is sandwiched between traveling rollers 8 and 9 and a pressing steering roller 17, and next, the clamp cylinder 19 is contracted, and the pole 3 is clamped. In this condition, driving devices 13 and 18 are driven, and the traveling rollers 8 and 9 and the pressing roller 17 are rotated, and a pole climbing carriage 6 is made to travel. The traveling direction of the carriage 6 is changed by inclining the pressing steering roller 17, and the carriage 6 is moved thereby to an optional position of the pole 3. Afterwards, a tilting cylinder of a cleaning part is driven and a roller brush is brought into contact with an illuminating part, and the illuminating part is cleaned.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
