PURPOSE: To enable preventing of noise at an air outlet without providing any silencing chamber at each air outlet by providing a silencing member on the internal surface of a polygon-shaped box body and a damper in protruding parts extended on a face plate of the box body and communicating with the inside of the box body free to open or close to facilitate the moving or addition of the air outlet. ;CONSTITUTION: A silencing branch chamber comprises a octagon-shaped box body 1, a silencing member 2 stuck on the internal surface of the box body 1, protruding parts 3 and 4 extended on a side wall 1a of the box body and communicating with the inside of the box body 1 and dampers 6 provided in the protruded parts 3 and 4 free to open or close respectively. The silencing member 2 comprise glass wool about 25-50mm thick fixed on the entire internal surfaces of a top plate 1b, a bottom plate 1c and a side plate 1a, a cloth fixed on the entire surface of the glass wool and a screen fixed on the cloth. The fixing of the glass wool, the cloth and the screen is made by a screw protruded on the entire internal surface of the top plate 1b, the bottom plate 1c nd the side plate 1a by piercing the material to bend the tip thereof.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
