PURPOSE:To achieve a higher warning and evocation capacity of a load power display device, by providing the display device with an AC-DC converting section and a driving circuit section for producing an intermittently driving voltage waveform to let a liquid crystal display element make a flash display. CONSTITUTION:An electric field detecting section 1 detects an electric appliance or a conductor being loaded using a conventional load power display device and conventional one or two current collection plates 11 and 12 and outputs are sent to an AC-DC converting section 2, which rectifies an output of the detecting section 1 to be converted into a DC voltage required for operating a driving circuit section 3. The driving circuit section 3 outputs an output of the AC-DC converting section 2 as intermittently driving voltage waveform to indicate a display pattern of a liquid crystal display element 4 and applies it into the liquid crystal display element 4. An output of such an intermittently driving voltage waveform causes the liquid crystal display element 4 to make a flash display. By selecting time distribution and cycle for outputting and posing, the load power display device 10 can perform a flash display at an easily visible interval thereby making it very effective in enhancing warning and evocation capacity.
