PURPOSE:To obtain accurate equilibrium data and to shorten a determination time by stopping admitting solvent vapor after the relative vapor pressure in an airtight container is maintained within a permissible range for a constant time. CONSTITUTION:A pressure detecting means detects the pressure in the airtight container and a weight detecting means detects the weight of a sample. Then a data sampling means samples pressure and weight data obtained by the pressure detecting means and weight detecting means at a constant period. Then a storage means is stored with detection data obtained by the data sampling means. A comparing means reads new and old pressure and weight data out of the storage means and compares the differences between the new and old data with set values. A control means controls the supply and stop of the solvent vapor according to the comparison result of the comparing means and then decide the equilibrium of the relative vapor pressure and weight equilibrium according to the comparison result of the comparing means regarding the pressure and weight data.
