PURPOSE:To stably keep set temp. by a method wherein heat conductive rubber having specific heat conductivity or more is used as the material quality of a heat block to facilitate the processing of the heat block so as to be capable of mounting the heat block even on various columns having different shapes and the shape of the heat block is changed in a column oven to bring the heat block into close contact with each of the columns. CONSTITUTION:A heat block 1 has a pair of heat block half bodies 1a, 1b and grooves 2a, 2b are formed on one main surfaces of the half bodies 1a, 1b. The material quality of the heat block 1 is constituted of heat conductive rubber having heat conductivity of 1.0 X 10cal/cm.sec. deg.C or more. When the heat conductivity is equal to or less than 1.0 X 10cal/cm.sec. deg.C, the heat transmitted from a hot plate can not be rapidly transmitted to a column 3. This heat conductive rubber contains rubber composed of a high-molecular substance and a filler having high heat conductivity composed of a metal or carbon. Since the heat block has rubber elasticity, it is brought into close contact with the columns 3 having various shapes by utilizing rubber elasticity. Therefore, even the column 3 having a slightly different shape can be heated and cooled by using the same block 1.
