SEEDLING TRAY FEEDER OF TRANSPLANTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To enable accurate and ready replenishment of seedling trays onto the feed- side surface of a seedling carrier equipped with tray conveyor chain involving engaging and sending pins on each side. ;CONSTITUTION: This transplanting machine is equipped with a seedling feeder unit and the seedling feeder unit is equipped with seedling tray conveyor chains 3a and 3b for longitudinal conveyance involving engaging and sending pins 2a and 2b projected toward the inside and capable of being inserted into a space between pots (a) mutually adjacent in the direction of longitudinal conveyance of the seedling tray (A) and arranged in parallel on both the sides of a seedling carrier 1 for carrying the seedling tray (A). In this transplanting machine, the seedling tray conveyor chains 3a and 3b are supported respectively by both vertically movable seedling chain support bars 4a and 4b from the below at the upper part existing on the seedling tray (A) feed-side and on the rear side in the longitudinal conveyance direction. The seedling tray conveyance chains 3a and 3b are designed by a lower movement of both the chains 4a and 4b so as to control change in the posture of the upper part on the rear side in the longitudinal conveyance direction by a lowering motion of both the chains 4a and 4b so that the respective engaging and sending pins 3a and 2b may be lowered to a level lower than the feed-side surface of the seedling carrier 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
