TESTING METHOD FOR PROGRAM AND ANALYZING DEVICE FOR TEST COVERAGE

PURPOSE:To provide a method and device for testing the program which can measure the coverage of a test even under test coverage standards other than the CO major and C1 major. CONSTITUTION:Areas 312, 313, and 314 are set for the program 301 to be tested which is displayed in a control flow graph, and the test coverage standards 302, 303, and 304 are set in the respective areas 312, 313, and 314. Further, maximum permissible repetition frequencies are set for loop repetition parts in the areas 312, 313, and 314 (308). The program to be tested is tested under the maximum permissible repetition frequencies as the loop repetition conditions and the coverage of the test under the test coverage standards 302, 303, and 304 set in the respective areas is measured from the test result. Consequently, the testing operation is made efficient and the reliability of the program is improved.
