The device consists in a series of yellow anti-fog spotlights put every 50 metres on right and left guardrails and 25 metres staggered the right from the left ones. Each spotlight is turned on by a relay connected to a photocell behind the same spotlight, but activated by the one situated 100 metres before so that these photocells are responsive to white spotlights light only (so that they are not activated one after the other).
