FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: device includes cross bar, pile support, pull member to connect one end of the cross bar to lower part of pile support. The cross bar is fixed to the face of the pile support through a hinge. Upper end of the pull member is secured to cross bar end so as to be tightened in a lock. The lock includes thrust washer, distributing washer and tighten nut. The lock is covered with a hood. Opposite end of the cross bar is installed under the wall of the building to be reinforced and interacts to it through rubber-metal bed. The wall is provided with distributing beam of two channels tightened with bolts. An aperture is originated in the wall of old foundation. Pile support is connected to additional pile foundation that includes foundation mat and precast piles. Pile support is passed through opening in the foundation mat and provided with rest to interact to the foundation mat through replaceable timbering provided with sling eyes for withdrawing those. As for other device opinion, additional foundation is made in the form of low depth foundation. Method for erecting the device includes making pile support and additional foundation, prestressing and securing reinforcing structure. Prestressing is carried out subsequently in three steps. The first and the third prestressing are carried out in interaction of the pile support with the foundation mat of the additional foundation. The second prestressing is carried out under independent moving the pile support about the foundation mat of the additional foundation. The first and the third prestressing are carried out by tightening pull member end under maximum force that does not exceed the value that corresponds to appropriate operating load taken by the device under the building weight. The second prestressing is carried out under the force of pull member stressing the corresponds to the pressing in force that is by a factor of 1.8 to 2.0 higher than the design load on the pile support.
