The rain measurer includes a piezoelectric ceramic body (1) which is linked to a processor (4). The ceramic body uses a spherical hydrophone to ensure that all raindrops (p1-p8) from all conceivable directions (2) can be analysed. The impact (dp) of each raindrop is converted into an electrical impulse (du) and processed by the processor.
