The process for the three-dimensional reconstruction of objects from 3 projection images taken with any angle of incidence consists: - in segmenting the images, in extracting the contours, and in structuring these contours branchwise; - then, using the method for matching points in 3 views, in extracting all the triplets of points, belonging to these branches, which are potentially homologous in these three views while associating an assignment cost with each of these triplets; - in establishing, based on these triplets, tables of branch-matching hypotheses in which all possible triplets are picked out with their assignment costs; - in administering all the branch-matching hypotheses by using the fact that the branches consist of connected points, either to search for the best matching hypothesis, or to search for all possible solutions and to filter out the high-cost solutions and the non-symmetric solutions. The invention applies, in particular, to the reconstruction of vascular networks in 3D or to the reconstruction of objects, for example atomic structures in crystallography, or aerial paths of flying craft (aircraft, missile, satellite).
