Method of the description of a timing diagram and a device allowing the óoeuvre of the process.

The timing diagram is described with the aid of a syntactic tree with the timing diagram defined by objects having types and attributes. Objects of different types are linked one to the other by a logic tree having AND or OR nodes between the branches. The tree has at its base an object made up of four objects: of type "term", type "list", type "synchronisation region", and type "clock". The synchronisation can be dynamic or static. The timing diagram is displayed on the screen of a computer with associated mouse and keyboard. The objects are entered to the screen and an associated syntactic controller entered. The syntactic controller filters actions generated by associating a list of methods with each object. The methods correspond to different actions that a user effects with mouse and keyboard. The list of methods allows each object to interpret differently the stimuli received from the mouse and/or the keyboard.
