PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable head using a composite insulator tube whose resistance against moisture permeation is enhanced while the lightweight construction as one of the features of composite insulator tube is well maintained without enlarging the wall thickness of a hollow core member such as an FRP cylinder of the composite insulator tube. ;SOLUTION: This cable head concerned includes a composite insulator tube 1 composed of a hollow core member 2 in cylindrical shape and a sheath 3 furnished on the periphery of the core member 2 and an insulative member 7 accommodated in the composite insulator tube 1. An insulative cylindrical member 9 is installed inside the insulator tube 1 in such a way as enclosing the insulative member 7 air-tightly, and in the space between the core member 2 and cylinder member 9, a dehumidifying means is installed to dehumidify the insulative gas encapsulated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
