PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an additional load to the pile side body part of an already driven existing concrete pile by driving a wedge part between the existing concrete pile and shade-shaped hoop parts so that they cover the wedge part so as to fix the hoop parts to the existing concrete pile. ;SOLUTION: A wedge part 2 divided into several parts adjacent to its peripheral surface is prepared at a prescribed place where soil was discharged by an already driven existing concrete pile 1. Next hollow and shape-shaped hoop parts 3 divided into several parts are arranged so that the wedge part 2 is covered, and adjacent divided parts are formed integrally with each other by field welding so as to form it in a ring shape. Also the wedge part 2 is driven between the existing concrete pile 1 and the hoop parts 3 so as to fix the hoop parts 3 to the existing concrete pile 1 and provide a loading support. Thus a frictional force can be produced between a wedge surface and the concrete surface of the pile 1 in proportion to pressure, and a load applied through the hoop parts 3 can be transmitted to the pile by the frictional force.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
