CULTURE SOIL UTILIZING PEAT MOSS, ITS PRODUCTION AND SEEDLING MAT FOR RAISING SEEDLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method enabling a water-repelling peat moss to be used as culture soil, and a seedling mat for raising seedling by imparting water-absorbing property to the peat moss having water repelling property. SOLUTION: In forming the film of a clay material having water absorbing property on a peat moss having water repellency, fine powder of the clay material is sprinkled on the surface of peat moss and the peat moss is pressurized or the peat moss is immersed into an aqueous solution in which the clay material is dissolved or immersed into the aqueous solution which is subjected to surface activation treatment and the peat moss is dried.
