PURPOSE: To provide an oar unit that is operable in a state of forward-facing toward the bow. ;CONSTITUTION: An oar part 10 whose spatular part 10a is submerged in the water and an arm part 8 which grip part 8a is installed on a boat and operated in the longitudinal direction by a rower are separated from each other. Each of gears 9 and 11 is installed, in a state of being engaged with each other, at the other end side where the oar part 10 and the arm part 8 are opposed to each other. When the rower shifts the grip part 8a to the stern side in a state of being situated forward to the bow, the spatular part 10a is moved to the stern side, paddling water, so that the boat is propelled ahead.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
