THROW-IN, STORAGE AND DISCHARGE MECHANISM OF CARTRIDGE IN LIBRARY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the taking-in/out time by providing a storage shelf having an inlet/outlet to take in/out a cartridge, and an openable/closable cover to partition the inlet/outlet from the outside of a library device to dispense with the carrying process of the cartridge. ;SOLUTION: Each inlet/outlet 1a of a cartridge is provided in a plurality of stacked storage shelves. The inlet/outlet 1a is partitioned from the outside of a library device by a cover 2 to be connected to an openable/closable bellows 3. When the cartridge is stored in the library device, the cover 2 is opened, the cartridge is thrown in from the inlet/outlet 1a and directly stored on the storage shelf 1 from the outside of the device, and the cover 2 is closed. When the cartridge on the storage shelf 2 is discharged from the library device, the cover 2 is opened, the cartridge is taken out of the inlet/outlet 1a, and directly discharged from the storage shelf 1 to the outside of the device.
