BULK CARRIER HAVING HATCH COAMING WITH DOOR, AND BULK CARRIER WITH DIFFERENT HATCH COAMING HEIGHT BY HOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the loading operation without interfering a loading equipment with a hatch coaming while the volume of a part to be enclosed by the hatch coaming is increased by providing a door in a side of the hatch coaming in a bulk carrier having hatches in cargo holds. ;SOLUTION: It is the general practice to achieve the first loading operation in a third cargo hold 3 counted from the bow side in a bulk carrier having a plurality of, e.g. six cargo holds 1-6, and a door is provided in a hatch coaming of the third cargo hold 3. Alternatively, a lower hatch coaming 43 than the hatch coamings of other cargo holds is provided on the third cargo hold 3. When the bulk carrier enter a port and the cargo is loaded, a loading equipment is positioned first relative to the third cargo hold 3 to avoid interference of the loading equipment with the hatch coaming 43 and to efficiently achieve the loading operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
