PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a composition for decoration low in expansion suitable for the surface decoration of a crystallized glass, excellent in concealing property and hardly visualizing the color tone of the crystallized glass by mixing a glass powder, a TiO2 powder and a color pigment in a specified ratio. ;SOLUTION: A glass powder in an amount of 39-94wt.%, 5-69wt.% TiO2 powder and 0.05-34wt.% color pigment (e.g. nickel oxide) are mixed to obtain the composition low in expansion for decorating the crystallized glass. The glass powder having a composition consisting of, by weight, 45-75% SiO2, 10-35% B2O3, 1-10% Al2O3, 1-10% BaO, 0-10% Na2O, 0-5% K2O, 0-5% Li2O, 0-2% F2O is preferably used. The average grain size of the TiO2 powder is ≤5μm, and also the content of the TiO2 powder is preferably higher than the content of the color pigment. When a decorative film is formed on the surface of a crystallized glass plate by using the obtained composition for decoration, the color tone of the crystallized glass is hardly visible transparently through the film prepared from this composition even if the film thickness is thin and the film is pale-colored.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
