PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply execute reinforcement without the need for executing additional casting of concrete by a method wherein steel plates are wound round a beam-column joint in an existing reinforced concrete or steel encased reinforced concrete structure, and grouting is made to gaps between the joint and the steel plates. ;SOLUTION: Reinforcing steel plates 3 are wound, with gaps 4 each in a width of about 10mm provided, round four sides of a column 2 at upper and lower positions of a joint of the column 2 and a beam 1 in an existing reinforced concrete or steel encased reinforce concrete structure and the opposite reinforcing steel plates 3 are welded W. Then, grouting is made for fixation to the gaps 4 between the column 2 and the reinforcing steel plates 3. Thereby, shear strength and toughness can be increased at the joint of the column 2 and the beam 1 without executing additional casting of concrete, and shear craks piercing through from the joint to the column 2 can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
