PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a video system for a microscope to display externally a magnified image. ;SOLUTION: The video camera for a microscope has a casing 3 at one side of which a connection section 2 connectable to a mirror barrel and an image pickup element 4 is provided in the casing. Then an optical microscope is connected optically to the mirror barrel P via the connection section of the casing 3, and an image light from an objective lens L of the optical microscope is formed onto the light receiving face of the image pickup element via an image forming lens in this state. The optical connection of the video camera for the microscope is made to the optical microscope without the use of a special element such as a relay lens unit and the video system for the microscope is used more easily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
