PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the fuzzy sliding mode controller with a new operation state and other system parameters speedily and suitably. ;SOLUTION: The shape of the controller characteristic curve and area of the fuzzy sliding mode controller Con of a closed loop circuit is varied by determining the best control parameters for it by an optimizer Ad which operates in fuzzy sliding mode. To determine the best control parameters, a language rule used for a language variable featuring the controlled variable, etc., of the controller Con is evaluated by the optimizer Ad and the language rule for the optimizer Ad is so generated as to generate the best controller parameters that make them cause variation in the direction where quality standards predetermined for a 1st closed loop control circuit are improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
