PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a machine for processing a fiber for a woven fabric, especially a guide device for a fleece in as drawing machine having a calender arranged at the rear thereof and a method for guiding a sliver. ;SOLUTION: This fleece guide device comprises a front end of a sliver hopper unit 30 having a guide part 32 on one side of a sliver passage opening 31a present in the front end and the central surface 34 thereof basically and vertically extending relatively to a communicating surface 90.
