SEAL MATERIAL FOR MUD GUN IN BLAST FURNACE AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING LEAKAGE OF MUD MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To improve the sealing performance while quickly and surely mounting a sealing material to the tip part of a mud gun. ;CONSTITUTION: The sealing material for the mud gun in a blast furnace is composed of deformable refractory and has a cylindrical shape which can insert into the inner periphery of the tip part 3a of the mud gun 3 for plugging an iron tapping hole in the blast furnace as close as possible so as to press-fix to a press-fixing part 5 of the mud gun at the iron tapping hole by advancing with the pressure of the mud material 6 discharged from the mud gun 3. Then, the leakage of the mud material from the iron tapping hole is prevented by using this sealing material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
