PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To momentarily obtain information on a destination, a route, etc., and speedily perform transporting operation by digitizing intersections, destinations, and their routes, registering them as a data base on a hard disk of a personal computer together with the telephone numbers, names, and addresses of the destinations, and displaying those data in the form of a map on a display when a telephone number is inputted. ;SOLUTION: A mouse is moved on the display to find the coordinates of intersections A-O. For example, the intersection A has (X, Y)=(3, 3), the intersection B has (X, Y)=(8, 3), and so on. Further, the coordinates of destinations P1-P52 are found with the mouse. For example, the destination P1 has (X, Y)=(4, 4), the destination P2 has (X, Y)=(7, 4), and so on. A data file is generated with the respective found data. When the telephone number of a destination is inputted, the telephone number is matched against the data file, a corresponding telephone number when found has its map displayed on the display screen, and the destination, route, name, and address are displayed or printed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
