PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel painting-out circuit of image output device which can shorten the time up to the end of printing. SOLUTION: Image data on only the outline of a figure are stored in a DRAM 3 and taken out as serial image data through a parallel-serial converter 2, a pixel painting-out circuit 1 detects and paints out pixels to be painted out, and a printer engine 13 prints the figure. Consequently, since the process that a CPU, etc., performed before is performed in parallel to the transfer of image data, the image output process can be speeded up.
