PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate alignment in the vertical connection of a steel pipe pile. ;SOLUTION: Projection bodies 5, 6 are fixed beforehand at the connecting end sections of an upper pile 1a and a lower pile 1b to be vertically connected, a guide jig 7, which is fitted to the projection body 6 of the lower pile 1b and to which an introducing engaging groove 10, in which a socket section 11 and a receiving section 12 are continued, is formed, is disposed in upright, and the projection body 5 is inserted into the introducing engaging groove 10 while hanging down the upper pile 1a and the end faces of both piles 1a, 1b are joined. The places in the circumferential direction of both piles 1a, 1b are adjusted finely by forward moving and retreating setscrew levers 13, 13 mounted on the guide jig 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
