PURPOSE: To make it possible to realize the selection and measurement of water pressure gages by providing a plurality of the water pressure gages at each position, where subterranean-water pressure is measured, taking out signal lines to the ground surface as one set together with rectifier parts, connecting the signal lines to a data recording part, and switching the polarity of the applied current with the switching means of the recording part. ;CONSTITUTION: Water pressure gages 10A and 10B are provided at the upper and lower facing positions so as to hold a subterranean-water-pressure detecting part 7. Diodes are connected to signal lines 13 extending from the water pressure gages 10A and 10B as rectifier parts 14. The two signal lines 13 are set so that the polarities are reverse with the rectifier parts 14. The water pressure gages 10A and 10B can be switched and used by switching the polarity of a feeding power supply with the switch of a data logger. At this time, the water pressure gage 10A is used for the ordinary water-pressure measurement. When the water pressure gage 10A, becomes out of order, the switch of the data logger is switched, and the water pressure is measured with the water pressure gage JOB.
