PREPARATION:A quaternary phosphonium bifluoride (e.g. tetra-n-butylphosphonium bifluoride) expressed by formula II is reacted with an organometallic reagent (e.g. n-butyl-lithium) expressed by the formula R1M in equiv. amounts in an organic solvent (e.g. benzene), preferably at -20 to +40 deg.C for 1.5-7hr.
