PURPOSE:To improve fuzzy inference by changing the weight of a fuzzy rule which has given the largest influence on the generation of a definite value in accordance with the evaluation of the definite value obtained by means of the fuzzy inference. CONSTITUTION:A de-fuzzy fire 3 calculates the center-of-gravity position e* of a membership function and inputs it to an MCMA circuit 1. A dominant rule detection part in the MCMAX circuit 1 generates a dominant rule number (n) and inputs it to a control unit control part 2. An evaluation value (q) as to e* is inputted to the control unit control part 2 from outside apart from the number (n), and control coefficients K1-K3 with respect to control units M1-M3 are generated by a prescribed logic. The output of the dominant rule which gives a satisfactory result is largely amplified, and that which gives an adverse result is amplified little. Thus, control by using he definite value obtained by the fuzzy inference can satisfactorily be performed.
