摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently and stably obtain wavelength variable IR coherent light of high output by using a high-performance LiB3O5 crystal as a nonlinear optical element. CONSTITUTION:This oscillator consists of an exciting light source 2, the nonlinear optical element 3, a perfect reflecting mirror 4, a partial reflecting mirror 5, an oven 6, etc. The LiB3O5 crystal which has the high performance and is larger in the permissible angle of phase matching than the conventional nonlinear optical element is used as the nonlinear optical element 3. The oscillator is excited by the second harmonic wave of a solid laser of any of Nd:YLF, Nd:YAG, Nd:DSGG or Nd:YAP which makes laser oscillation at 1.047 to 1.0786mum, by which the oscillation by an optical parametric effect is executed. The efficiency is improved by using the relatively long LiB3O5 crystal in this way. In addition, the IR coherent light which is narrow in spectral width and is extremely stable in output is obtd.
