The present device comprises a circuit for automatically and/or semiautomatically switching a power supply source of the automobile, under the control of an inertial sensor, from a fuel pump to at least one auxiliary unit and vice versa. Said circuit comprises a switching element able to control alternately, in mutually exclusive fashion, the fuel pump and at least one auxiliary unit, the switching element being controlled by a controllable interrupter element, and controlled in turn by the turning on and off of the inertial sensor.
