The electronic system for transferring audio and/or video signals has at least one control unit (C) installed within the monitored user environment (S). It transmits audio and/or video signals. An audio and/or video signal receiver (R) is installed at the surveillance station (U). The control unit (C) includes units for acquiring images and converting them into electrical signals. The images are memorised and transmitted. Vocal messages and acoustic warnings are generated and transmitted. The surveillance state of the control unit (C) is triggered. The operation of the devices included in the control unit (C) are overseen by data communication commands and instructions along digital buses. The receiver circuit is also claimed.
