It is common practice to use chemicals to improve the dewaterability of sludge which is highly hydrophilic and has a large number of fine particles and is dehydrated. However, when a large amount of chemical is used, the sludge volume increases and there is a possibility of secondary contamination.;The present invention complements the disadvantages of treatment using chemicals by treating sludge using electricity, which is clean energy. When the sludge is electrolytically treated, the volume of the sludge is not increased, there is no secondary contamination at all, and the effect of increasing the dewatering speed as much as using a chemical is exhibited.
