The constant false alarm rate detector including a square detector(401); a leading window(403); a pre-test cell(402); a lagging window(404); a test cell(405); a sorter(406); a storage(407); a multiplicator(408); a background level estimated value calculator(409); a comparator(410); an interfering target number estimator(411); and a coefficient function part(412), comprises the coefficient function part(412) which is switched to a clutter boundary mode since a PDI(Post-Detection Integrator)(303,304) register values are changed to a modulo 2, in the case where the number of interfering targets within a register(lower-PDI)(304) is over 2/3 of the size of the register(304) or the information of existence of the interfering target is stored in a lowest cell(1ower-PDI(1)), or otherwise, outputs a background level estimation coefficient, in the case where the number thereof is under 2/3 thereof or the information is not stored therein.
