FIELD: radio electronics, superconductor engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing of source components of compound, synthesis, cooling, crushing, molding, sintering, thermal treatment of sintered material in oxygen-containing environment, and cooling. Mixture of barium carbonate and zirconium dioxide at molar content of 1:1 is used as zirconium-containing dope which is introduced in material during mixing stage of source components so as to obtain compound (1-x) YBa2Cu3O7-xBaZrO3, where x = 0.02-0.08; synthesis is conducted at 900-920 C for 17-29 h with intermediate cooling, crushing, and molding; sintering is made at 1000-1030 C and heat treatment in oxygen environment is performed as follows: heating to 800 C, holding for 2 h, cooling down to 500 C, holding for 3 h, followed by cooling down together with turned-off furnace.
