SUBSTANCE: 2-chloro-5-nitroaniline or 4-chloro-3-nitroaniline being prepared by nitration of suitable origin chloroanilines and placed into ice water, ratio of reaction mass after nitration and water is maintained within 1.3-2.5:1.0. The process is followed by filtration and hydrolysis of precipitate which takes place by treatment with water at 55-95 C. Melting point of desired 2-chloro-5-nitroaniline and 4-chloro-3-nitroaniline is 117-118 C and 101-102 C respectively, mass portion of main material in it being 99.4% and 99%, respectively. EFFECT: simplified technology, increased yield of desired products.
