FIELD: engine-building, in particular, systems used for investigation and development of control algorithms (programs) of internal combustion engine with microprocessor control system. SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine microprocessor control system has two engine current condition pickups, control actuators and a microcomputer-1, using a microprocessor and an on-line storage. The novelty in the invention is the fact that the system for investigation and development of control algorithms of internal combustion engine has a microcomputer of its own, using a microprocessor, on-line storage and permanent storage linked with the operator's terminal in which internal combustion engine control programs, programs of communication with the operator's terminal and programs of engine investigation and development are entered, as well as well as an external storage controller, which couples both microcomputers and provides an access for the microcomputer of the system of investigation and development of control algorithms of internal combustion engine to the on-line storage on the microcomputer of the engine control system that does not display an access to its on-line storage on the side of the microcomputer of the system for investigation and development of engine control algorithms and does not interrupt for this time the computer operations in the engine control system, and does not allow microcomputer-1 of the engine control system to have an access to the storage of the microcomputer of the system for investigation and development of control algorithms of internal combustion engine.
