The method involves acquiring a number of individual measurement signals depending on a rotation angle, to form a series of measurement signals for a controlled evaluation of the misalignment of a rotating body. Current misalignment signals are compared with already determined misalignment signals. Fuzzy logic rules are used to exclude current measurement signals in dependence on the size of their deviation and on a measure influenced by disturbances, for the further evaluation to determine the misalignment of a rotating body.
