The hall or public building (20) is shaped like a rectangular box with a removable lid. The lid has a flat top and downwardly extending sides (24,26) set at right-angles to the flat roof. The whole lid structure is lifted up at one end so that it is tilted. The lower part of the building has vertical solid sidewalls extending up to e.g. first-floor height above the ground. There are gaps (14,16) at the front and sides between the top edges of the sidewalls and endwalls and the bottom edges of the sides and end face of the roof structure. These gaps are filled with glazed panels and there are support columns (32).
