Plate-shaped electrical resistance heating for air conditioning in apartments and buildings

Homes and buildings are heated by an electric resistance heater having a heating layer (11) formed by a mixture of graphite particles and a binder dilutable with water, which is spread, sprayed or screen printed etc. on a moisture absorbing backing plasterboard (2) and has a loading of 20 to 60 W/m2. A thermal insulating layer (4) is applied on the other side of the backing board. Preferably the plasterboard forms the complete interior wall of the heated area and is provided with two parallel metallic power supply electrodes (6), with a resistance between the electrodes of 40 to 120 ohm. Binder is preferably water glass.
