The equipment and its power source (S) are accommodated in the housing (1) on which are fitted, to give easy access, the private journey key (2), the business journey key (3), the destination input field (4). The keys and the input field are connected with the electronic units (5) which convert or process the data and which are connected, on the one hand, with an input data memory (6) and, on the other hand, with the distance recorder adapter (7) receiving input from the keys. The power source can be battery-driven or can have a drive coming from the engine of the vehicle, while the input field is an electronic writing surface.
