The subject of the present invention is a reticle of an electronic display device, such as, for example, a flat, liquid-crystal screen, which consists of at least two markers capable of being displaced parallel to themselves and independently of each other. The subject is also a method of obtaining higher precision during the use of a reticle of an electronic display device, according to which a reticle is used including at least two markers capable of being displaced parallel to themselves and independently of each another; according to this method, the displacement of the reticle 20, 21 on the electronic display device 1 takes place by displacement of a part 20 of the markers, and alternately by displacement of the rest 21 of the markers. Finally the subject of the invention is the application of such a method for the positioning, before trimming, of a spectacle glass with respect to the mounting intended for receiving it, the mounting being physically represented by the said electronic reticle on an electronic display device, the image of the glass being projected onto the said device or into an optically conjugate plane.
