The circuit drives a ferromagnetic structure with protruding poles and having coils forming a number of phases. A continuous current source (16) drives a first inductor phase (8) in series with a second variable inductor phase (18). The second phase is made up of a second inductor phase (10) which is placed across a rectifier bridge circuit. The bridge circuit is fed by a switch command (20), providing the variable reluctance circuit.
