The installation of a rail (1) on a concrete foundation (6) comprises two stages of vibration damping. The first stage comprises a resilient bed plate (2) under the rail foot (1a) and flexible washers and nuts (20,21) for fixing the rail. The second stage comprises placing a single metallic saddle (3), supporting the rail, and two resilient truncated blocks (4), located either side of the rail axis. The saddle comprises on its lower surface opposite the concrete foundation first housings (11b), second housings (12a, 12b) being fixed to the saddle and creating with the first housings truncated cavities in which the blocks are housed. The second housings have a fixing portion (7,12a) submerged in the concrete foundation.
